This would be a hands-on, interactive setup where we create stations that mirror what we would see in a real shelter, such as:
• Registration
• Dormitory (cot setup and layout)
• Feeding area
• Other key shelter operations
Each station will have someone guiding participants through the process, so it feels practical, engaging, and easy to understand.
We would also invite community partners to participate, making this a great opportunity to strengthen collaboration and readiness across the community.
We will begin setup at 8:00 AM, and the simulation will run from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Breakdown and cleanup are scheduled from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
In the past, cleanup has often been completed by 3:30 PM, depending on turnout.
